We are celebrating our 2nd summer Green Bag pick-up coming up in just under 2 weeks. We have a pick-up for businesses on Thursday, August 7 and Saturday, August 9 for residential homes. We are now picking up 6 times a year. We started in February on the 2nd Saturday of the month. Our schedule for the rest of the year is August 9, October 11, and December 13. We start back up again in February of 2026 on the 2nd Saturday of the month. Green Bags is a wonderful way to give back to your community without having to write a check. All we ask (once you sign up through Community Action and take your Green Bag home) is that whenever you shop, just donate an item or two of your purchase to the Green Bag that we gave you. You do this every time you shop and at the end of two months our drivers and I go around and pick up the bags of food and leave an empty bag for you to fill again. It is a continous donation all year to our program that benefits our food pantries, mobile food trucks, and meal programs.
