PRIDE IN SOUTHERN ARIZONA: While National Pride Month is observed by the LGBTQ+ community across the country, we have traditions all our own, with Tucson celebrating Pride Weekend in the fall since 1977. One of those terrific traditions is the LGBTQ+ Alliance Fund, founded 26 years ago by volunteers collaborating with CFSA, and going stronger than ever as an enduring effort that has resulted in genuinely measurable, lasting impact and greater visibility for the community here in Southern Arizona. Since 1980 the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona CFSA has connected donors nonprofits and community partners to create a more vibrant and equitable Southern Arizona. By serving as a vital link between philanthropy and the communitys evolving needs CFSA provides funding training and collaborative opportunities that drive meaningful change.
