Today, August 9, we celebrate the birthday of Hunter Todd — the visionary who led WorldFest-Houston for more than five decades and championed thousands of independent filmmakers around the world. Hunter believed that every storyteller — from Oscar-winners to first-time filmmakers — deserved a platform, encouragement, and recognition. His passion shaped WorldFest into one of the longest-running independent film festivals in the world.
