Last month we asked several AFG member organizations to talk to us about what they and their communities are feeling right now and what they need. We are all experiencing the impacts of this political and economic climate differently, but all see that we are constrained by what we can do to serve our communities, particularly girls and gender-expansive youth. Alliance for Girls is deeply disturbed by the abduction of residents in Los Angeles and beyond, as well as the continued illegal attacks on peaceful protesters. These individuals are not only exercising their First Amendment rights, but also demonstrating vital support for migrants who are woven into the very tapestry of our communities.  In moments of crisis like this, community-based organizations need support more than ever to provide rapid relief funding.
