This week we joined our partners at @dorchesterfood_coop for Community Day at @the_farm_school. Our team had the opportunity to stay overnight, strengthening partnerships and imagining future overnight experiences for UFI youth programs. We also visited Pequiog Farm next door, where we learned about Indigenous farming practices and the Land Back movement that inspired the Farm School to return land to the Nipmuc Land Project. As we grow food in our own communities, we remain committed to learning from and honoring the knowledge, history, and stewardship of Indigenous people. #UrbanFarming #FoodJustice #UFIBoston (fb)

This summer, Boston youth put their hands in the soil, their hearts in community, and grew into leaders. 🌱 From farming and food systems to herbalism, leadership, and community organizing, our youth built skills, made memories, and found family here at UFI. We’re so proud of the brilliance, resilience, and joy they brought to every week of our program. Thank you to our staff, partners, and to the City of Boston for recognizing their hard work.
