Sickle cell is a complex biopsychosocial condition affecting every blood vessel organ and system in the body. While its severity impacts each individual uniquely sickle cells most common visible presentation is excruciating unpredictable pain. However the conditions less visible complications of continual hemolytic anemia and vascular and organ damage are silent but lifeshortening ramifications suffered by every individual with sickle cell.
