This summer we launched a new matching challenge and were heartened by how our donors responded. ❤️ With financial markets continuing to be strong and recognizing an increase in the number of donors who contribute to our mission through a donor-advised fund (DAF), we issued a matching challenge. We are grateful to have received $3,800 in donations from several donors in response to this challenge. Adding the $3,800 match of a supportive donor to that, this campaign raised $7,600 which will help us furnish the homes of three to five young adults in need! From Foster Care to First Home 817 young adults helped and counting. At Hearts to Homes our core mission is to empower individuals aging out of foster care by transforming empty living spaces into a place they can call home. We provide essential furnishings and a sense of comfort to those in need ensuring that young adults who are transitioning out of the foster care system have the support they deserve as they embark on their journey of independence. By working to create a more comfortable living environment we can increase the stability of those who age out of the system while acting as a barrier to homelessness incarceration and multigenerational foster care involvement all issues that affect the agingout population.
