We joined fellow members of the League of California Community Foundations recently to meet with legislators (including Assemblymember Stephanie Nguyen) and discuss policies that affect the nonprofit sector in the Sacramento region and across California. Among the topics: proposed legislation to improve how state grants and contracts are administered, including efforts to streamline payments, increase transparency, and provide nonprofits with more flexibility during emergencies.
