On Tuesday (10/07/25), in between fire prevention presentations, SFC and mutual aid units responded to a reported trash truck on fire against a building on the unit block of Street Road. Rescue 2 and Deputy 2 arrived and found dark black smoke coming from truck with no extension to the building and put initial handlines in service. The load of the truck was dumped and the fire was fully extinguished. Mutual aid units provided manpower and water on the scene. UST Public Works assisted with a backhoe to help with fully extinguishing the pile.
