Join Society staff and volunteers at the Downtown Akron Juneteenth celebration today at Lock 3 presented by Downtownwn Akron Partnership. It’s happening now through 6 pm. Free and open to the public. Food trucks, vendors, activities, music and spoken word. Reva Golden, Society education and outreach coordinator, invited Beverly Lloyd aka Mama Awan of the Cleveland Storytellers who started the day with a personal story of Black History in Perkins Woods.
