One of several groups of students from the amazing Quest Academy QUEST ACADEMIC FORUM Came in to work on the many tasks the charity needs help with. From sanding shingles that will soon be painted by another group to preparing our gardens for the summer ahead. Our shoe sorting stations were reorganized and tidied up. Weekly Share Your Soles Foundation gets requests for good wearable shoes from all parts of the world. This morning I received a heartbreaking email for shoes for vulnerable children living in Bukavu, in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. Some are orphans and some were abandoned due to parents unable to feed and cloth them. So many desperately needy children in the world. Please be mindful when donating very gently worn good quality shoes. We need them pre sorted before you donate them. Toss out unacceptable shoes before donating. It saves our very limited and valuable time. Our goal is to put donated shoes in select categories by gender, type and style only. This allows us to work efficiently and mot hace to sift through old worn out shoes we do not accept.
