Please join us in welcoming our new Education Coordinator, Kaitlyn Paige Longoria! 🎉 Kaitlyn Paige, also known as KP, is an actor, director, producer, and mixed-media artist. You may recognize her from her previous position at VisArts' front desk! In addition to her work as the Education Coordinator at VisArts, she serves as the Artistic Director of 5th Wall Theatre. She trained at the William Esper Studio in New York City and developed a longstanding collaboration with New Light Theater Project, where she continues as a Resident Artist. Now based in Richmond, she creates theatre that engages community and fosters conversation. Alongside her artistic work, KP also has several years of experience in film and television payroll with companies including HBO, Apple, and Showtime. Luck Gallery at the Visual Arts Center of Richmond 🎟️ Free + open to the public! This exhibition exemplifies Anderson’s intuitive processes and material explorations, presenting recent fused glass panels alongside her ongoing series of mixed-media textile tapestries rich with color, texture, and compositional nuance. Wandering within and between these disciplinary genres, Anderson gathers seemingly disparate objects and forms, responding to their disjointedness and fractures through acts of connection—sewing, knotting, fusing, or building with lattices and lines. Together, these works both revere and challenge conventions of art-making, celebrating its often-overlooked spirit of play and collaboration to emphasize the need for unity and joy in our increasingly polarized world.
