PROJECT ALEX COMMUNITIES INC Creating semiindependent living communities for disabled adults and their families The aim of Project ALEX Communities is to establish a safe living environment and create a community atmosphere for adults with disabilities and nondisabled individuals to live together support each other and thrive. Who We Are Project ALEX Communities is an allvolunteer organization of family and community members who wish to see an inclusive environment for disabled individuals. Our board consists of parents and siblings of disabled individuals retired special education teachers mental health workers disability advocates business and land developers and disabled individuals themselves. This amazing group has come together to form the foundation of a lifechanging organization The State of Disabled Housing in Illinois Illinois consistently ranks as among the worst states for people with disabilities.
