With new state funding, County of Marin, the Community Land Trust Association of West Marin (CLAM), and Eden Housing are making major progress on the rehabilitation of the former U.S. Coast Guard housing site in Point Reyes Station. The project has been awarded $11.5 million from the Joe Serna, Jr. Farmworker Housing Grant Program through the state’s Multifamily Finance Super NOFA, helping to renovate 13 buildings into 54 affordable homes, add new resident amenities, and improve site-wide infrastructure. The 33-acre property also includes sensitive natural areas that will be protected through improvements designed to reduce water runoff and encourage native species growth. “This project wouldn’t be possible without our local and state partnerships,” said Linda Mandolini, President and CEO of Eden Housing. “With this latest investment, we can accelerate progress on the project to deliver high-quality affordable homes.
