Our Value of the Month for June is PLAY & CELEBRATION! 🎉 The L'Arche Charter states, "We mark and celebrate the events and cycles of life." Our Engagement Specialist, Kyla Ponciano, shares her thoughts about what it means to be playful and celebratory: 💭 "We must play in order to disconnect ourselves from the world around. We must have fun and find reasons to celebrate life in order to reset our brains. Play is very important because it helps us grow as a community no matter the age. Play and celebration lead to better teamwork, planning, creativity, relationships and overall emotional health. Being playful helps us in so many ways, including celebrating the little moments in life as well as the big." 💭 At L'Arche, we work hard and play hard. Building an inclusive world is not easy, so it's important to let loose and take time to celebrate often. This helps build the authentic, life-giving relationships that move our mission forward.
