El and Ally’s journey shows the power of courage, expertise, and hope. Born conjoined at the pelvis, their family traveled across the world to Seattle in search of answers. At Seattle Children’s, a team of more than 30 specialists in surgery, urology, and rehabilitation spent months preparing for a rare and complex separation surgery. At just 15 months old, El and Ally underwent an 18-hour surgery and were safely separated. Today, they are learning to stand, play, and grow as sisters together, by choice. Seattle Children’s is one of the few hospitals in the world with the expertise to care for cases this rare and complex. We are honored to support families like El and Ally’s every step of the way.
