Their team is committed to supporting children and families at risk for abuse or neglect, ensuring they can maintain a happy, healthy home environment. These interactive classes allowed participants to act out case studies, providing valuable insights into the roles and contributions of different departments. This hands-on approach strengthens our ability to serve our community effectively. Key Training Topics: Room Position and De-escalation: Techniques for managing and diffusing challenging interactions safely. Situational Awareness and At-the-Door Strategies: Preparing staff to maintain safety and awareness in various situations. No-Contact Self-Defense Techniques: Empowering staff with self-protection skills without physical contact. Additional Safety Trainings: Tailored strategies to address specific workplace scenarios and enhance overall safety. CYS services aim to safely maintain children and families in their homes whenever possible. They contract with a wide array of agencies to provide essential tools, from homemaking skills and parenting classes to anger management and in-home counseling.
