This past year, the Coalition for Sonoran Desert Protection and volunteers have made incredible progress improving the Oracle Road wildlife crossings! Here is just a short summary of the work our partners and the dedicated volunteers have completed!: • Removed invasive buffelgrass. • Planted native species (including agaves for pollinators). • Built erosion control structures. • Hosted youth education workshops. • Improved safe passage for wildlife large and small. This important work helps connect the Santa Catalina and Tortolita Mountains, protecting biodiversity and strengthening the Santa Cruz Valley’s natural heritage. Read the full summary of the work that was completed here: https://www.sonorandesert.org/2025/09/04/another-year-improving-oracle-road-crossings/ Thank you to everyone who lent a hand in making this project thrive!🌵🐾 (fb)
