Two years ago, in December 2023, the UN declared 2026 as the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development (IVY2026). Around the same time, IAVE took a leap, asking: “What if this could be the moment to set a bold new course for the future of volunteering?” Since then, 10,000+ people from 100 countries have joined the journey, sharing insights through surveys and dialogues that are now shaping a global Call to Action for the Future of Volunteering. This is more than an idea. It’s becoming a movement. And we’re just getting started. What’s next?
