We fed hundreds of people this weekend at our Pop-Up Pantry at Life Experience and Faith Sharing Associates (LEFSA) when we distributed 163 bags of groceries, socks and hygiene kits. This event is a timely response to challenges facing communities across the United States as food insecurity rises. The purpose of the event is to bring together community leaders of faith who are tirelessly working to reduce food insecurity. The event will offer a space for prayer, reflection, and action. The event will kick off with a thematic panel around food insecurity and the response of partners. The panel will be followed by an “interactive fair” where partners will have booths with informational materials of how to get involved and immediate actions that can be taken. The evening will conclude with a prayer service for all those experiencing food insecurity and those working to alleviate it. Light refreshments will be provided. Please join. (fb)
