Earlier in August, our ECU Chamber Singers performed at Belmont Village Senior Living Oak Park for their residents. 🕯️ Today, we pause to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the courage of all who responded with strength, compassion, and resilience. At our performance of An American Civil War Memorial we began the concert with a presentation of the colors, and a singing of the national anthem by our Chamber Singers. As singers, we know the power of music to comfort, heal, and bring communities together. On this solemn day, we reflect on the role of music in helping us grieve, remember, and find hope.
