Our Center for Excellence in Advocacy (CEA) now offers training in Motivational Interviewing. CEA Training Coordinator, Alexandra Dolan and Director of Pro-Bono and Intake, Beth Perez, LSW, ESQ, recently trained Bucks County dependency attorneys, paralegals, social workers, and Office of Children and Youth Staff. Motivational Interviewing is an evidence-based communication practice that supports trauma-sensitive representation. Interested in Motivational Interviewing? Volunteers are the heart of our work. As a Volunteer Attorney for the Support Center for Child Advocates Child Advocates you work on a team with a staff social worker and consulting attorney to provide legal representation and social services advocacy to a child who has experienced abuse or neglect. This could be the most important client of your career. Our mission is to advocate for victims of child abuse and neglect with the goal of securing safety justice wellbeing and a permanent nurturing environment for every child.
