School is out for the summer! Today marked the last day of the 2024–2025 school year, and it was filled with joyful moments. From photos taken by the Lake Center sign showing how much our students have grown, to classroom celebrations and year-end festivities, the day was a beautiful reflection of all they've accomplished. Junior High students were honored during the Awards Assembly for academic achievements and Christian character, while senior high students enjoyed some free time with friends on the front lawn. Our students shared their final goodbyes as teachers and staff surrounded them with love and encouragement in the carline! As they leave for summer break, our prayer is that each student continues to boldly live out the truth of this year's theme—Unashamed of the Gospel. May they shine the light of Christ in their homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, and beyond. Have a wonderful summer, Lake Center family! (fb)

The last day of school is underway, and with it comes one of our favorite LCCS traditions—the 6th Grade Hall of Fame! As our sixth graders wrap up their elementary years, they've created special displays that celebrate their journey so far. Tables are filled with photos, sports jerseys, musical instruments, fair ribbons, favorite books, meaningful Bible verses, awards for academic and character accomplishments, handmade items, their original artwork, and much more. It is special to get a glimpse into the lives and stories of these soon-to-be junior high students—each one uniquely gifted by God and dearly loved. Parents, faculty, and staff join in to congratulate and encourage them as they take this exciting next step. This morning, our sixth graders also shared their displays with younger students—answering questions, telling stories, and reflecting on what has shaped them. It's a joyful celebration of who they are and who they are becoming, and a beautiful way to mark the end of this special chapter. (fb)
