Last month we hit the milestone of 1,000 kids that have stayed at the landing since it opened. For a little perspective: That's 1,000 sleepy heads that got a cozy bed, 2,000 shoes placed on bare feet - 5,000 outfits packed in care bags to go on to a safe foster home placement. (fb)

Skookum Kids Involving whole communities in foster care. WHAT WE DO Skookum Kids exists to mobilize communities to create a healthy foster care system. The landing Entering foster care can be incredibly scary and confusing. We provide a soft landing for children when they enter foster care at our emergency shelter in Bellingham.
