After a difficult divorce, Deborah spent five years rebuilding her life as a newly single mother, determined to create a stable home for her teenage son. While going through one of the most emotionally and financially turbulent periods of her life, housing quickly became one of the biggest obstacles to achieving what she describes as freedom. In March, Deborah achieved her dream of homeownership through Habitat, supported by home sponsors Bill and Cheryl Kampa. They shared a connection, including shared names with loved ones they've lost.
