Projects that come together through partnerships are extra rewarding. This was the case when we cut the ribbon on a new timber frame welcome shelter at Pine Street Woods earlier this month. More than 3 years in the making, Rotary Club of Sandpoint initially proposed the project when Pine Street Woods was brand new. Predicting that this would be a community hub of activity, Rotarians felt that the structure welcoming visitors to the trailhead would be a practical and beautiful legacy. Next time you find yourself tucking in to escape the rain or making plans to meet up at the Rotary Shelter, remember to thank our amazing community partners who made this possible.
