Bob Draga - 9/23/47 - 9/23/2025. We are deeply saddened by the death of jazz clarinetist Bob Draga, who passed away early this morning while in hospice care, after a lengthy illness. Bob was a master entertainer, combining his outstanding talent on the clarinet with his sense of humor and genuine love for people. For decades, he was a fixture at jazz festivals across the country and internationally, both with bands and as a Guest Artist. Bob felt very strongly about encouraging kids to play the music he loved, and was a mentor to many. He was the first Guest Clinician at the TJF in 2006, and headlined many of the Up Close and Personal fundraisers. The TJF awards a cash scholarship in his name every year.
