Arab American Institute Foundation

The Arab American Institute Foundation (AAIF) is a non-profit, nonpartisan national leadership organization based in Washington, D.C. History and Mission

Established in 1985, AAIF was founded to address the lack of representation and inclusion of Arab Americans in the political process, particularly during periods when they faced exclusion due to their advocacy for Palestinian human rights. Today, AAIF plays a crucial role in defending and promoting free speech, including the right to boycott, through public education and advocacy. It focuses on combating restrictions on nonviolent political expression related to the Israel-Palestine conflict and advocates against the misapplication of federal civil rights laws aimed at silencing criticism of Israel on campuses.
