Bridges had a great time partnering with our friends at Quad-County Community Partnerships for Protecting Children - CPPC and Community Action of Southeast Iowa for their powerful poverty simulation. 🚧This event gave our City Hope Mission team a meaningful glimpse into the daily challenges faced by individuals and families struggling with poverty. 🕵🏼A poverty simulation is an interactive experience designed to help participants understand the realities of living with limited resources. Through role-playing various scenarios, our team took on the personas of low-income individuals and families, navigating a simulated month filled with tough decisions, limited resources, and encounters with social services and businesses. ❤️The goal was to build greater awareness, empathy, and understanding of the complex factors that contribute to poverty and its impact on our community. 💯 We’re grateful for the insight Vern shared with our youth during this eye-opening experience. Together, we’re working toward deeper compassion and meaningful action. (fb)
