What does it take to fund what works in #AlternativeEducation? At the 2025 National Alternative Education Association Conference, Dr. Ashlie Denton shared insights from Education Northwest’s State Action Collaborative for High School Alternatives—a national effort supporting meaningful #PolicyChange and resource alignment for alternative schools and programs. Since 2024, we’ve been working closely with eight state teams to advance this work through one-on-one coaching, technical assistance, and cross-state collaboration. Together, we’re examining how budget policies and systems can better support the students and educators who need them most.
