Our work with Zambia Airports Corporation Limited and APTERS has come full circle! We were thrilled to distribute Airports sponsored, Apters made, walking aids to the children at Icende Ya Nsansa (Place of Happiness). These tools will make a significant impact and help in aiding with the children’s mobility. For this we are most greatful and touched, that were many have promised to help, they have become a few that have actually honored a kept their promise and put a smile on the children’s face and given hope for a better tomorrow. Home Our mission is to inspire Zambian youth specifically girls by providing them a violencefree future of choice through education livelihood training health services leadership mentoring and cultural exchange. Meet the Young Women Seeking Sponsorship Our Programs Our Impact Check out our 2024 Impact Report Place of Happiness 2024 Impact Report Embracing a strengthbased culturally relevant approach that combines ancestral wisdom the cultivation of healthy relationships access to contemporary resources Bakashana empowers youth to be leaders in their communities. Bakashanas primary work involves the support of youth living in rural areas who have successfully completed their grade 7 education yet lack the financial or familial resources to attend secondary school grades 812. Our holistic approach includes scholarship at the secondary and tertiary level health services a resource centre offering computer and literacy classes and youth life skills clubs in 30 government schools.
