We are thrilled to be collaborating with @trianglenyc to present a screening and conversation on Thursday, June 12th from 6:30 – 8pm. This program will share recent films by Triangle Residency artist alumni, Poyen Wang (#poyenwang) and Amiko Li (@amikoli) The two artists will be joined by writer and curator Jungmin Cho (@nowherejmc) for a conversation following the screening. The discussion will explore their practices through the lens of purity—questioning how notions of purity are constructed around the body, race, and gender within socio-political systems. Join us on May 22nd at 6:30pm for Publishing as Trans* and Asian / Diasporic Practice: A Conversation and Call for Pitches. We are thrilled to share a hybrid conversation between Jeannine Tang (@ominous.music.playing) and Wong Binghao (Bing) (@bing___hao) to share and reflect upon their ongoing project focusing on trans* and Asian/diasporic publishing practices in contemporary art. This program will reflect upon their experiences organizing conversations for the project and speculate on publishing futures related to the project. They invite audience members to contribute to these discussions. Tang and Wong will speak during the first half of the program, and open the floor to the audience for the second half.
