[English below] 💚 Desde Colombia, compartimos algunos aprendizajes del Encuentro Nacional del Movimiento Causa Justa, donde nuestras abogadas Estefanny Molina y Eliana Alcalá de Ávila representaron a Women's Link. Tres años después de la sentencia C-055, que despenalizó en aborto hasta la semana 24 de gestación, este espacio fue clave para reflexionar sobre los cambios que se han dado en el país y pensar en los siguientes pasos para la coalición. Fue una oportunidad para reconocer los retos, definir objetivos y conversar sobre lo que se requiere para logarlos. Desde Women’s Link compartimos nuestra postura frente a este trabajo y resaltamos la importancia de promover un movimiento feminista diverso e interseccional. Es decir, uno que integre a mujeres y personas LGBTIQ+ afrodescendientes, indígenas, migrantes y más. Este encuentro fue un espacio para cuestionarnos colectivamente y seguir articulando luchas por la autonomía reproductiva de todas las personas. ----------------------- 💚 From Colombia, we're sharing some lessons learned from the National Meeting of the Causa Justa Movement, where our lawyers Estefanny Molina and Eliana Alcalá de Ávila represented Women's Link. Three years after the C-055 ruling, which decriminalized abortion up to 24 weeks of pregnancy, this space was key to reflecting on the changes that have taken place in the country and thinking about the next steps for the coalition. It was an opportunity to recognize the challenges, define objectives, and discuss what is needed to achieve them. At Women’s Link, we share our position on this work and highlight the importance of promoting a diverse and intersectional feminist movement. That is, one that includes women and LGBTIQ+ people of African descent, indigenous people, migrants, and more.
