From the Start Northwest Center has Defied the Status Quo We were founded in 1965 by a group of Seattle moms determined to change the laws that barred their children with disabilities from school. Today Northwest Center is just as determined to remove barriers to disability inclusion at school work and in the community. Our services empower people with disabilities from cradle through career and help schools businesses and the community embrace inclusive antiableist practices.
