The Farm at Wyncote Academy is selling Christmas trees as a fundraiser. We have Douglass fir trees (6-8 ft. in height). Prices from $60-$80 per tree. The tree sale - which will be held at our Elkins Park farm - starts this Friday evening (5:00-7:00 PM). Sales will continue every night from 5:00-7:00 PM for as long as supplies last. Wyncote Academy has always valued and promoted experiential learning. Recently, our students have have been fortunate to work with Susana Hormann, the founder of Domus Nodus, a mobile educational wood workshop. Susana has taught woodworking skills to elementary, middle, and high school students. Over the course of the past month, Wyncote students have been working with Susana to build 9 benches to provide outdoor seating at Wyncote Academy's farm. They are also building a freestanding vegetable stand that will be used to display Wyncote's fresh produce at several local farmers markets.
