📢 Not one but two United Track athletes make history! 💥💥 💥Kathleen Lambe and Sterling White have both received coveted invitations to compete at arguably the most elite outdoor track meet in the country. The annual “Fastest of the Fastest” by-invitation-only event held on June 8th in Seattle will once again be the epicenter for earning PRs and challenging national records, showcasing the nation’s top high school and middle school track athletes. The multi-day athlete experience brings stars of the sport together in downtown Seattle, taking in the city’s sights, spending time at @brooksrunning HQ, and building lifelong friendships. 💥Kathleen and Sterling earned their spots at Brooks after a year of running successes. 💥Kathleen finished 13th at USATF Cross Country Junior Olympics in December followed by week after week of PRs in the 1600m this track season, culminating with a 4:59 last weekend, the first-ever girl in United history to break the 5-minute barrier in the 1600m. 💥Prior to this track season, Sterling also celebrated a highly successful cross country season, coming up undefeated all the way to the USATF Junior Olympics, where he earned a top 10 finish. His track season started with a bang, winning his 1500m race with a time of 4:14 at the Pacific Coast Shockwaves Invitational in March. He also set the United record in the 1600m with a time of 4:36. 💥These elite-level times put both Kathleen and Sterling among the Top 10 middle school distance athletes in the country. 💥We are so proud of these two athletes and can’t wait to watch them compete!
