We are thrilled to announce that the first-ever online dictionary for Namtrik de Totoró is now available to explore on our Living Dictionaries platform. It contains 1199 audio recordings that accompany the entries, whose headwords are in Namtrik de Totoró with translations into Spanish. It was built over the past couple of years thanks to a massive community-led effort in Colombia with help from researchers in Mexico. Please see the "About" section in this Living Dictionary (link below) to see all the people and organizations involved in its creation. In the words of the Namtrik de Totoró speakers who worked on this project, "Namoi namtrik pesananɨtrap. Mamoi unirikmeran as’amai kusrenantrap amtruntrap namoi namtrik. Nampe pesanamɨntrap namoi kilelɨpe kosrenanik." Traducción en español: "Para que no olvidemos nuestra lengua, (estamos) enseñando a nuestros niños para que aprendan nuestra lengua. No olvidaremos lo que nos enseñaron nuestros mayores." English translation: "So that we do not forget our language, we are teaching our children so that they learn our language.
