Over the summer, our blacktop was painted with four square and hopscotch courts for active recess fun, and a brand-new shed now brightens our play yard—complete with artwork by our talented art teacher, Gabby Bloom. Even our steps are alive with color and care, thanks to a beautiful community garden planted and nurtured by Char Whipple. These spaces reflect what SJCS is all about: creativity, connection, and the dignity of difference, all woven into the everyday lives of our students. (fb)

Yesterday, our SJCS community—students, families, and staff—came together to joyfully launch the new school year. Our theme this year is Kadima B'Kehillah/קדימה! בקהילה (Onward In Community!) We were inspired by words of welcome from Head of School, David Zimand, uplifted by the powerful sound of the shofar, and celebrated the many new students and teachers joining our community. As we move forward together, we invite the entire SJCS community to lean into this theme and help us reach our aspirations. (fb)
