After months of training, planning, and collective fundraising, our team completed a 117-kilometer, six-day journey along Spain’s ancient Camino de Santiago — a thousand-year-old pilgrimage traveled by millions across generations. But for us, this wasn’t just about completing a trek — it was a mission rooted in compassion, urgency, and hope. Together, we raised $114,812 to support two deeply urgent causes: - Emergency relief and housing for families affected by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles - Road-building projects to connect nomadic communities in East Africa to life-saving healthcare, education, and economic opportunity In East Africa, millions of people remain disconnected from vital resources because of inaccessible, dangerous, or nonexistent roads. Pregnant mothers walk for days to reach a clinic. Children miss school due to long, unsafe commutes. Entire families are cut off from clean water, medical care, and opportunity. And in Los Angeles, wildfires have devastated communities, leaving thousands displaced and uncertain about what comes next. Families are starting over, and they need us now more than ever. Our team of thirteen trekkers from the U.S. and Canada walked to meet those needs.
