WE SEE THE TEACHER IN YOU. GYOIL MULTIYEAR LEGISLATIVE REPORT With ongoing investment from the Illinois legislature GYOIL programs harness the contributions of higher education district and community partners to directly address Illinois chronic teacher shortage and lack of racial diversity in the educator workforce. GYOIL purposefully recruits candidates from highneed urban and rural areas with significant teacher vacancies fully supports them in preparation programs and returns them to their home communities as fully licensed teachers. We are pleased to share a report that reflects on our work and impact for the past four fiscal years 20202023.
