Mission To Ecuador “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose” This is a famous saying by Nate Saint, one of five missionaries who were killed in the jungles of Ecuador in 1956. Jim Elliot (husband of Elizabeth Elliot) was also killed on the same mission trip. Next month, I will be going on mission to the same area where these missionaries worked, witnessing for Jesus in the jungle areas of southeast Ecuador. We plan to work in the smaller towns of Puyo and Misahualli, Ecuador, near the original mission base of Nate Saint and Jim Elliot. Our plans include: • Sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ in homes, in parks, in the market and in churches • Holding VBS-type events in remote villages • Praying with all who are ready to believe in Jesus • Discipling new believers • Baptizing some if they are ready • Giving Spanish bibles to those without Please pray for us, and help us if you feel led… Thanks! ~ Steve Lackey (fb)
