This season I am taking semi ripe cuttings of • Gaura Butterfly Rose • Salvia involucrata (Rose Leaf Sage) • Selected Penstemons A few key lessons I have learnt along the way • Choose firm cutting material for strong roots and shoots • Use a gritty peat free compost mix • Hormone rooting powder helps but is not essential • Cool air and patience often work better than artificial heat It is a simple and rewarding process.
