We were very sorry to hear of the death of Major BWF Sharman MBE. Major Sharman was born on 21/10/29. After 23 years in the ranks he was commissioned in 1970 (seniority 1966). He was QM 1 PARA in Aden in 1967, before moving to 2 PARA and then serving in Belfast and Berlin, after which he was awarded an MBE. From teh Daily Telegraph: Major (Retired) Brian William Fraser Sharman MBE, ex Parachute Regiment, passed away peacefully on 25th May 2025 aged 95. Loving husband to Babs (deceased). Much loved father, grandfather and great grandfather will be greatly missed by all. His funeral will take place at 1130hrs on Thurs 3 July 2025 at the Royal Garrison Church, Claycart Rd, Aldershot GU11 1QA. (fb)
