Tijdschrift 'De achterkant' met reportage 475 jaar Nederlandse Kerk Londen. (fb)
Zondag 5 oktober 3e van de herfst. Vorige week was ds. Ad van Nieuwpoort te gast in de Nederlandse Kerk in Londen. Hij nam ons mee in het bijbelboek Daniël aan de hand van het boek dat hij onlangs publiceerde met als titel ‘Buig niet, bijbels tegengif voor nu’. Komende zondag gaan we verder op ontdekkingstocht door dat bijbelboek en horen we hoe Daniël in een leeuwenkuil beland. Hij wil niet buigen voor de wet van Meden en Perzen, de wet die ons, ook vandaag, probeert wijs te maken dat de dingen nu eenmaal zijn zo als ze zijn. Daar kun je je maar beter bij neerleggen. Er is geen alternatief. Het is slikken of stikken, buigen of gebroken worden… Maar daar gaat Daniël niet in mee. Wil je horen hoe dat verder gaat?
