🎉 Welcome to retirement, Inverness! 🐴💚 We’re overjoyed to welcome Inverness, a much-loved 20-year-old Clydesdale from Police Scotland’s Mounted Unit, into his well-earned retirement at The Horse Trust. Standing at a towering 17.2hh, Inverness is a gentle giant with a heart to match. Over his remarkable 12-year career, he played a key role at some of the UK’s biggest events – from the Commonwealth Games and COP26 to Old Firm derbies and beyond. Now enjoying a quieter life in the sunny Chiltern Hills, this iconic police horse is settling in beautifully with familiar faces like Kilsyth and Edinburgh – and he’s already formed a special bond with retired English Heritage cob, Bob. Fun fact: despite disliking the rain, Inverness is loving the southern weather and recently stood like a pro for his spring clip – soaking up all the fuss from our team!
