🎉 Celebrating 50 Years of Herne Toddler Group! 🧸 For five decades, this welcoming group at St Martin’s, Herne has been a vital space where local families connect and children play. Founded in 1975 by two local mums, it began as a lifeline for isolated parents and now welcomes mums, dads, grandparents, and carers alike. The anniversary celebration brought together past and present members for a thanksgiving service, a commemorative plaque unveiling, a teddy bear picnic with a special cake, and golden handprints made by children to represent all the generations who have been part of the group. Some who first joined as toddlers have since returned to support and help run the group, reflecting its lasting impact on the community. As we continue our #RECOGNISE celebrations, we want to say a big thank you to everyone involved in children’s, youth, and family ministry - like those who make Herne Toddler Group such a wonderful place.
