HOUSE TO HOME - Tavern Street New signage went up on the former H&M site in Tavern Street last week. HOUSE TO HOME are advertising for staff in this new shop which will apparently be selling furniture and more. Local media report this unit as belonging to the Frasers Group who have recently opened their new "Frasers Plus" store in the former BHS building which they now own and they would appear to be letting this unit to to a separate retailer. With reports that the former Grimwades is now owned by IBC and will be opening as part of the café chain JAMAICA BLUE by the summer, bit by bit units are getting filled again in the town centre. With over 1000 members we are quite a large society as civic societies go and we like to think that we are wellrecognised and that our opinions count for something in the town. The Society encourages conservation of the town39s best buildings and most attractive street scenes but also welcomes wellplanned and sensitive new developments. Ipswich is a town of great historical interest and variety.
