What a great concert we had last night and thanks everyone for coming along! We had a full house, so clearly the programme was an inspired choice. Hats off to Flo Eaglestone on her piccolo - we all got to our feet after this extraordinary performance, blown away by such talent and clearly one to watch! And as for the Shostakovich....the current geopolitical rumblings seemed to be played out in this huge work that was still ringing in our ears long after the concert had finished.
