Ashtead Choral Society is celebrating its 75th Anniversary in 2025 - and is looking forward to an outstanding season in 2025-2026. Dr Andrew Storey, musical director of the choir, outlines the world-class programme that is coming up - and invites all singers to come and join the choir! Can you sing and want to sing the BIG works with a BIG choir and a FULL orchestra? Then sing with Ashtead Choral Society in 2025-26: Elgar's Dream of Gerontius (1 November 2025); Bach's St John Passion (7 March 2026); Handel's Theodora (6 June 2026). It's an ambitious programme of major works - for an ambitious choir of more than 100 members! Come to our OPEN rehearsal (7.30pm for 7.45 start) on 8 September - no auditions - at Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall (plentiful free parking) to start rehearsing 'Gerontius' with us from scratch. Free membership for the under 25s. Come and sing with Ashtead Choral Society for joy, community and wellbeing! (fb)
