The British Society of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry exists to promote the art and science of periodontology and dental implantology. The British Society of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry was founded in 1949 to promote public and professional awareness of periodontology and implant dentistry to achieve our vision of “Periodontal Health For a Better Life”. The objectives of the Society, as stated in the Constitution and Bye-Laws are to:"promote, for the benefit of the public, the art and science of dentistry and in particular the art and science of periodontology, and in furtherance thereof to advance all aspects of periodontology and to promote improvements in the teaching of the same."
